概览
GN28L98 is a PON-X combined burst-mode laser driver and limiting amplifier designed for 10Gbps passive optical network (PON) optical networking unit (ONU) applications. GN28L98 features several patented innovations, optimizing low cost lasers using a unique laser driver eye shaping technology to reduce the cost of the ONU. GN28L98 also features an automatic extinction ratio control for reliable laser operation over all conditions, a high accuracy auto-ranging A/D converter with on-chip temperature sensor to give precise diagnostic reporting and a low cost integrated avalanche photodiodes (APD) controller to enable a complete receiver solution. GN28L98 can be used in combination with the GN28L54A or GN7069 transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) for a complete 10G PON ONU chipset.
